Respectfully, we would like to inform you all that we are NIELIT B Level pass out student from Assam. We, the student of NIELIT B Level wish to notify that we facing many
difficulties while finding jobs and taking admission into higher educational
courses. As you all know that NILEIT is providing best education in IT. Also,
the Ministry of Human Resource and Development has recognized B Level as
equivalent to MCA. But yet B Level is not considered as MCA by many
organization/Universities.
We would like to
bring your attention on the below mentioned issue:-
1. National Institute of Electronics &
Information Technology(NIELIT),(erstwhile DOEACC Society),being an
Autonomous Scientific Society under the administrative control of Department of
Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY), Ministry of Communications
and Information Technology, Government of India yet NIELIT B level is not
considered as MCA by many government and public/private organisation. They
treat B level qualifiers as simple diploma holders.
2. According to the eligibility criteria of UGC NET exam, any
diploma/certificate holder can apply for UGC NET provided that their diploma is
recognised by AIU(Association of Indian Universities) as equivalent to Master
Degree. But since NIELIT still has not taken any steps to get the AIU
certificate many NIELIT B Level students have been rejected even after clearing
UGC NET exam.
3. Recently, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has published an advertisement
for filling various post in Kendriya Vidyalayas. NIELIT B Level is considered
as equivalent to degree course and was not allowed to apply for the post where
desired qualification was MCA. We the students of NIELIT request to revise the
advertisement, but they did not respond.
4. Since B level is
equivalent to Master’s in Computer Application, B level qualifier should get
opportunity to conduct research in the computer application. But there is no
university/Institution in India that give B level qualifier the opportunity to
conduct research.
5. NIELIT seeks B Level
qualifiers for various technical or STA post where they want B Level qualifier must
have science or mathematics background. But in the case of admission into
NIELIT B Level there is no such restriction. Graduate of any discipline can
take admission in NIELIT B Level.
6. Students doing
NIELIT course are mostly from either rural areas or financially weak
background. They opt for NIELIT B Level courses instead of MCA as because of
its low course fees and course is under the control of Ministry of
Communications and Information Technology, Government of India.
After clearing NIELIT B Level, students are not getting the recognition as MCA
but NIELIT is advertising B Level as equivalent to MCA.
7. Few months ago there
was a rumour spread all around that the equivalence of NIELIT B Level to MCA
was withdrawn by government. When we asked NIELIT authority through RTI they
replied that they have no such information. But sudden change in the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan PGT
teacher’s eligibility criteria regarding DOEACC B Level has create doubt on
this issue as because prior to 2012 DOEACC B Level was allowed to appear in the
interview of PGT teachers.
8. A number of Universitites has been established and will be eatablished in next three years in the city of Guwahati where MCA are been taken for teaching job. Due to UGC non recognisation many DOEACC B Level students who have very high skills and knowledge and also have cleared UGC NET/GATE are unable to apply. They are very frustrated now. If during this requirement period if they don't get settled down than in future this students and the course will be gone off. DOEACC B Level has very good knowldege and teaching skills like any other MCA has even much more better than MCA. Than why is to discrimination have to be faced by DOEACC B Level in the case of teaching job.
